WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS A BUSINESS MANAGEMENT GRADUATE

You’ll have the knowledge and skills to pursue an entry-level manager position in a host of service businesses such as retail stores, financial institutions, restaurants, and more.

As a manager of a business, you will oversee daily operations and act as a bridge between employees and upper-level management. You will likely have a wide range of daily responsibilities that can include:

  • Opening and closing the business
  • Coordinating employee schedules
  • Dealing with customers directly
  • Monitoring sales
  • Providing direct support and training to employees
  • Reporting to middle and upper management

A SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE STUDYING

In your Customer Service class, you will complete the “Mystery Shopper” project. For this project, you will evaluate customer service experiences at four different types of business. After gathering all the data, you will compare and contrast your experiences, reflect on what you learned, and propose ways in which each business could improve the customer experience.
