Fred Fransen, President

As the founder of educational nonprofit Certell, Inc., Fred Fransen has provided curricula to over 5,000 teachers who teach more than 475,000 students across the country. As President of HJC, he is dedicated to expanding access to quality education for any student who wants to find out what they’re capable of. Fred received his doctorate from the University of Chicago.

Mike Lindell, Chief Operating Officer

Mike Lindell, a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business, has spent nearly two decades helping educational and nonprofit organizations grow. As COO of HJC, Mike is building on the outstanding legacy of the college to develop new programs, reach more students, and help learners reach goals they might never have thought possible before.

Lake Tackett, Executive Director

As Director of HJC for over 30 years, Lake Tackett knows better than anyone the impact this institution has made in the lives of our students. She provides sound fiscal management to ensure that all students receive the best possible support, starting from their enrollment experience to career placement and beyond. Lake is a graduate of Marshall College.
